ASTANA — The Astana Hub International Technopark of IT startups has presented a unique robotic complex — a robot dog — designed to improve safety in Kazakhstan’s mines. The dog specializes in inspecting mines and detecting potential gas leaks, Kazinform reported on Dec. 24. Photo credit: Soltan Zheksenbekov/Kazinform. The robot was created by the development and innovation department of the Almaty branch of the Park of Innovative Technologies autonomous cluster fund. “Every year, a significant number of workers die at enterprises in Kazakhstan either from gas leaks in mines or from gas explosions. The latter occur due to untimely response to gas leaks. Thus, bypassing mines, eliminating people and the human factor from such life-threatening situations, allows us to prevent emergency situations and ensure workplace safety,” explained Darina Mamyrova, the head of the department. The robot is equipped with a 360-degree camera, a thermal imager, and a Kazakh-designed gas analyzer. It can operate both autonomously and manually. “While the robot is walking around the mine, whether in autonomous or manual mode, the gas analyzer collects data on the condition and quality of the air. In case of any abnormal levels of carbon dioxide or oxygen, it automatically sends an alert to the control center beyond the mine. Thus, the dispatcher can quickly respond to this situation and evacuate workers,” Mamyrova added. In October last year, an explosion occurred at the Kostenko mine in the Karagandy Region, which claimed the lives of 46 miners. The robot has already been tested at the Nurkazgan mine of the Kazakhmys company.ArcBest director Philip Craig sells $428,649 in stockBurgum: Thank you, North Dakotahttps www mnl777 com ph

CM Omar Abdullah conducts surprise checks at Kashmir’s premier Medical Institutions Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today conducted surprise inspections of premier Health Institutions in Srinagar to gain firsthand knowledge of the facilities and services being provided to patients and their attendants. Chief Minister visited the Bone & Joint Hospital, Barzulla, one of the region’s top Orthopaedic healthcare facilities. During his inspection, he toured various sections and wards, interacting with patients and attendants to understand their concerns. Accompanied by Minister of Health, Sakeena Itoo, Senior Faculty Members and Doctors, the Chief Minister engaged with hospital staff to assess the winter arrangements, treatment facilities and the availability of medical professionals and paramedics. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also inspected the state-of-the-art additional block of the hospital, constructed under the Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project (JTFRP) with funding from the World Bank. Designed with earthquake-resilient technology, the block will add 160 beds, increasing the hospital’s total capacity from 150 to 310 beds. During his visit, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to expedite the completion of the new block, which is critical for addressing the space crunch caused by a fire incident in 2022 that reduced the hospital’s original capacity of 200 beds. He directed the executing agencies to ensure its swift operationalization by January 2025 to enhance patient care and to dedicate the facility to public service. Chief Minister also inspected the 500-bedded Children’s Hospital in Bemina, where he interacted with patients, attendants, and hospital staff. During his visit, attendants from far-flung areas raised concerns about the lack of a Sarai (inn) for their stay. The Chief Minister immediately directed the concerned authorities to construct a Sarai to accommodate attendants and alleviate their difficulties. The hospital staff highlighted the challenges of expanding super-specialty facilities due to express space constraints. The Chief Minister assured them that the issue would be addressed on priority. He also promised to resolve the shortage of medical staff, including doctors and paramedics, not only at this hospital but across healthcare facilities in Jammu and Kashmir. Furthermore, the Chief Minister instructed hospital authorities to ensure the timely availability of medicines and other essential facilities for patients. During the inspections, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reiterated his government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure ensuring better facilities for the public and addressing manpower shortages in health institutions across Jammu and Kashmir. The Chief Minister was accompanied during his visits by Minister of Health Sakeena Itoo, Medical Superintendent of the Children’s Hospital, senior faculty members and other concerned officials. The Predators continue their road trip against the Colorado Avalanche Saturday at 8 p.m. You can watch the game for free on NewsChannel 5 on the simulcast of the Fan Duel Sports Network broadcast feed. Sadiq Khan has been asked to lobby the Government to create a “Road Safety Investigation Branch” to closely examine deaths and injuries caused by vehicle collisions. In a unanimous, cross-party vote at City Hall earlier this month, the mayor was urged by the London Assembly to raise the idea with ministers, amid concerns over the number of people still being killed each year on the capital’s road network . According to Transport for London (TfL), there were 95 people killed and 3,615 people seriously injured on London’s road network in 2023. This was down from 102 deaths and 3,859 serious injuries in 2022. The mayor’s ambition, set out in his “Vision Zero action plan” is to eliminate all deaths and serious injuries from the capital’s roads by 2041. But Green assembly member Caroline Russell has pointed out that there is a disparity when it comes to investigating road deaths, compared with those on the railway network. For the latter, accidents are independently investigated by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch, which produces a comprehensive report detailing what went wrong and what action should be taken to prevent repeat episodes. No such body exists for accidents caused by road vehicles, leading Ms Russell to put forward a motion on November 7 calling on the mayor to lobby for an equivalent ‘Road Safety Investigation Branch’. The idea was backed by all parties on the Assembly. Asked last week about it, the mayor told the Standard he had not seen the motion, saying: “I’m sure that will come to me in due course. I’ll look at it.” Pressed on why he was not aware, given that it was agreed almost two weeks previously, he said: “The bad news is I receive more than one letter to my office a day, but I’ll wait and see the motion when I see it.” The motion also asked Mr Khan to “urgently prioritise bringing forward” an updated version of his Vision Zero strategy. He said: “We’ve got a Vision Zero policy. Last year we had the lowest numbers of deaths and serious injuries [on London’s roads] since records began, since [i.e. with the exception of] the pandemic. I’m incredibly proud of our record. “By the way, many of the Assembly are against our policies of 20mph on our streets, many MPs are [too]... Many assembly members are against school streets. Many assembly members and MPs are against walking and cycling. “I’m really proud that in this most recent Budget from the Government, I secured almost double the money for capital spending for TfL compared to last year. That will help us [to] improve streets in London. Londoners know that when I’m the mayor, I work with councils and others to keep our streets safe. “I’m not going to apologise for not seeing a motion. If you’re criticising me for not seeing a motion, that’s up to you.” A spokeswoman for Mr Khan later contacted the Standard with the following additional comment: “Every death or serious injury on our streets is devastating, bringing heartache and tragedy to all those involved and the mayor remains committed to his Vision Zero goal. “Significant progress has already been made to make our streets safer including the Bus Safety Standard, expansion of the Cycleways network, 20mph speed limits, and the victim support pilot. “Last year was the lowest year on record for people being killed on our roads excluding 2020 and 2021, which were heavily affected by pandemic-related lockdowns and changes in travel patterns. “However, while significant progress is being made, the mayor recognises further action is needed to eliminate deaths and serious injuries from London’s streets. We are updating our Vision Zero action plan and will publish the new plan early next year.” She said that the mayor’s office will look in detail at the motion, before deciding whether to lobby for a Road Safety Investigation Branch. In 2022, the last Conservative Government proposed creating a Branch of the same name, specifically to investigate road collisions, but confirmed in January this year that it had dropped the plan. In the days immediately following the general election in July, a Freedom of Information request was submitted to the Department for Transport, asking whether Labour would take the idea forwards. The response stated that the new Government is “currently in the process of reviewing all potential road safety interventions following the election”. It added: “Once we have worked with the ministerial team to take stock of these, we will look to prioritise policies that fix things quickly and have the biggest impact on the safety of our roads.” The mayor’s Vision Zero strategy also commits to zero deaths caused by buses in London by 2030, but Private Eye magazine recently reported that 10 such deaths have occured in 2024 so far, up from six in the whole of 2023.FACT FOCUS: Inspector general’s Jan. 6 report misrepresented as proof of FBI setupTexas A& M AgriLife will collaborate in a first-of-its-kind project to propagate new seedless muscadine grape varieties to benefit grape growers in Texas and beyond. The four-year, $7 million project, “Through the Grapevine: Developing Vitis x MuscadiniaWide Hybrids for Enhanced Disease Resistance and Quality,” is funded by a U.S. Department of Agriculture National Institute Food and Agriculture grant. The research involves the Texas A& M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the University of Arkansas, the University of Georgia and several other institutions and agencies. Research and extension efforts related to the project will be conducted and implemented with industry partners and stakeholders. “This project is a part of a larger departmental mission focused on sustainability, wellness and food security,” said Amit Dhingra, Ph.D., head of Texas A& M’s Department of Horticultural Sciences. “The proposed work represents an opportunity to identify new muscadine varieties for Texas to support fresh market sales, wine and other products.” IMPROVING THE MUSCADINE GRAPE Muscadine grapes are one of the 13 species of grapes native to Texas and the only native grape species that has been improved through breeding and selection. After over 100 years of muscadine breeding, plant breeders developed the first seedless selections. Muscadines grow well in East Texas due to the area’s humid climate but are also successful in a variety of soil types, especially those that are pH neutral or slightly acidic. In addition to pest and disease tolerance, the grapes demonstrate good drought tolerance. The grapes are typically large and ripen individually. While the skin is somewhat tough, the fruit is highly flavorful and popular for use in jams, jellies and juices as well as home and commercial winemaking. DEVELOPING VARIETIES FOR BOTH FRESH AND WINE MARKETS The overall project will involve more than 30 viticulturists, grape breeders, physiologists, food scientists and economists. Their efforts will support grape growers in propagating new seedless muscadine selections for trials across the southeastern U.S. Texas A& M AgriLife team members from the Department of Hort icultural Sciences par ticipating in the project include Justin Scheiner, Ph.D., Texas A& M AgriLife Extension Service viticulture specialist and associate professor, Bryan-College Station; Michael Cook, AgriLife Extension program specialist and doctoral student, Denton; and Andrew King, Ph.D., Texas A& M AgriLife Research ornamental horticulture scientist and assistant professor, Overton. Scheiner will provide leadership for the Texas A& M AgriLife team. Texas A& M AgriLife will also host two research vineyard sites in northeastern and southeastern Texas to evaluate new “fresh eating” or table selections as well as those for processing. One research trial will be planted at Thomas Ranch near Richards, which is operated by AgriLife Research. The other trial will be at the Texas A& M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Overton. Muscadine grape trials in Texas will be planted in the spring of 2025. Another team member, Stephen Talcott, Ph.D., professor of food chemistry in the Texas A& M Department of Food Science and Technology, will analyze fruit composition and post-harvest quality of all materials from these trials. “This project will seek to crossbreed muscadines and Vitis vinifera, or common, grapes to get the best characteristics of these two grape species,” Scheiner said. “Both generations of grapes will be instrumental in breeding new high-quality, climate- resilient cultivars for both the fresh market and wine production.” Cook said he and the others are thrilled to be part of a national multi-disciplinary team exploring ways to improve muscadines, as well as bunch grapes, to provide tangible solutions for growers. “We are particularly excited in the first objective of the project where we are doing trials of advanced muscadine cultivars,” he said. “This effort could change the face of the grape industry in Texas.” According to Cook, various environmental and input factors have made growing grapes more difficult, risky and costly over time, so the results of this multi-objective study will be vital in aiding growers in regard to future cultivar selection and best practices tailored to a changing viticulture landscape. “Texas grape growers have expressed great interest in this project and will be kept up to date with results and recommendations through various AgriLife Extension programming in the coming years,” Dhingra added. LAS VEGAS — Players Era Festival organizers have done what so many other have tried — bet their fortunes in this city that a big payoff is coming. Such bet are usually bad ones, which is why so many massive casino-resorts have been built on Las Vegas Boulevard. But it doesn't mean the organizers are wrong. They're counting on the minimum of $1 million in guaranteed name, image and likeness money that will go to each of the eight teams competing in the neutral-site tournament that begins Tuesday will create a precedent for other such events. EverWonder Studios CEO Ian Orefice, who co-founded Players with former AND1 CEO Seth Berger, compared this event to last year's inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament that played its semifinals and final in Las Vegas by saying it "did really well to reinvigorate the fan base at the beginning of the year." "We're excited that we're able to really change the paradigm in college basketball on the economics," Orefice said. "But for us, it's about the long term. How do we use the momentum that is launching with the 2024 Players Era Festival and be the catalyst not to change one event, but to change college basketball for the future." Orefice and Berger didn't disclose financial details, but said the event will come close to breaking even this year and that revenue is in eight figures. Orefice said the bulk of the revenue will come from relationships with MGM, TNT Sports and Publicis Sport & Entertainment as well as sponsors that will be announced later. Both organizers said they are so bullish on the tournament's prospects that they already are planning ahead. Money made from this year's event, Orefice said, goes right back into the company. "We're really in this for the long haul," Orefice said. "So we're not looking at it on a one-year basis." Rick Giles is president of the Gazelle Group, which also operates several similar events, including the College Basketball Invitational. He was skeptical the financial numbers would work. Giles said in addition to more than $8 million going to the players, there were other expenses such as the guarantees to the teams. He said he didn't know if the tournament would make up the difference with ticket sales, broadcast rights and sponsorship money. The top bowl of the MGM Grand Garden Arena will be curtained off. "The math is highly challenging," Giles said. "Attendance and ticket revenues are not going to come anywhere close to covering that. They haven't announced any sponsors that I'm aware of. So it all sort of rests with their media deal with Turner and how much capital they want to commit to it to get these players paid." David Carter, a University of Southern California adjunct professor who also runs the Sports Business Group consultancy, said even if the Players isn't a financial success this year, the question is whether there will be enough interest to move forward. "If there is bandwidth for another tournament and if the TV or the streaming ratings are going to be there and people are going to want to attend and companies are going to want to sponsor, then, yeah, it's probably going to work," Carter said. "But it may take them time to gain that traction." Both founders said they initially were met with skepticism about putting together such an event, especially from teams they were interested in inviting. Houston was the first school to commit, first offering an oral pledge early in the year and then signing a contract in April. That created momentum for others to join, and including the No. 6 Cougars, half the field is ranked. "We have the relationships to operate a great event," Berger said. "We had to get coaches over those hurdles, and once they knew that we were real, schools got on board really quickly." The founders worked with the NCAA to make sure the tournament abided by that organization's rules, so players must appear at ancillary events in order to receive NIL money. Strict pay for play is not allowed, though there are incentives for performance. The champion, for example, will receive $1.5 million in NIL money. Now the pressure is on to pull off the event and not create the kind of headlines that can dog it for years to come. "I think everybody in the marketplace is watching what's going to happen (this) week and, more importantly, what happens afterwards," Giles said. "Do the players get paid on a timely basis? And if they do, that means that Turner or somebody has paid way more than the market dictates? And the question will be: Can that continue?" CREIGHTON: P oint guard Steven Ashworth likely won’t play in the No. 21 Bluejays’ game against San Diego State in the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas. Ashworth sprained his right ankle late in a loss to Nebraska on Friday and coach Greg McDermott said afterward he didn’t know how long he would be out. A CBC Radio Canada report says WB Games Montreal has eliminated 99 jobs, primarily among Keywords subcontractors working on its QA team. One source told the site that employees were informed there wasn't enough work to justify their continued employment during a videoconference meeting on Monday. Employees impacted by the cuts were then given two options at a second meeting: Accept assistance in finding a new job, or sign up for a recall list for when more work becomes available. The source added, however, that more work isn't expected until 2026. The report says roughly 240 Keywords employees work as subcontractors at WB Games Montreal. While; Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was developed by Rocksteady, WB Games Montreal is also credited for additional work on the game. The actual layoffs are expected to occur in eight weeks, according to the report. Some employees expressed frustration at the short notice of the cuts: There was apparently no talk of layoffs at the company's biannual meeting in late summer, and sources said they were told there would be enough work to keep them on. Neither Keywords nor WB Games have confirmed the layoffs, but the situation sounds similar to one that occurred at BioWare in September 2023, when 13 Keywords QA employees working on Dragon Age: The Veilguard were laid off . In that case, laid-off Keywords employees picketed BioWare's office in Edmonton to demand their reinstatement; Electronic Arts and BioWare had opposed the plan because the picketers weren't technically BioWare employees, but the Alberta Labour Relations Board sided with the workers, essentially saying that BioWare was their place of employment and thus they had a right to picket there. This week's layoff notification reportedly came just ahead of the announcement of the official end of Suicide Squad support after four seasons. Multiple other studios have laid off employees in December, including Ubisoft , Torn Banner, Sweet Bandits, Illfonic , Deck Nine , and People Can Fly ; the two-years-and-counting bloodbath that's gripped the videogame industry has grown bad enough that even the notoriously controversy-averse Geoff Keighley acknowledged the problem at last night's Game Awards. I've reached out to WB Games Montreal and Keywords for comment and will update if I receive a reply. In a post on his social media site Friday, Trump said his party would try to end the practice when he returns to office. “The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t! Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation,” he wrote. Setting clocks forward one hour in the spring and back an hour in the fall is intended to maximize daylight during summer months, but has long been subject to scrutiny. Daylight saving time was first adopted as a wartime measure in 1942. Lawmakers have occasionally proposed getting rid of the time change altogether. The most prominent recent attempt, a now-stalled bipartisan bill named the Sunshine Protection Act , had proposed making daylight saving time permanent. The measure was sponsored by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio , whom Trump has tapped to helm the State Department. “Changing the clock twice a year is outdated and unnecessary,” Republican Sen. Rick Scott of Florida said as the Senate voted in favor of the measure. Health experts have said that lawmakers have it backward and that standard time should be made permanent. Some health groups , including the American Medical Association and American Academy of Sleep Medicine, have said that it’s time to do away with time switches and that sticking with standard time aligns better with the sun — and human biology. Most countries do not observe daylight saving time. For those that do, the date that clocks are changed varies, creating a complicated tapestry of changing time differences. Arizona and Hawaii don't change their clocks at all.

There’s a significant amount of extra sourcebooks for different ranger teams, so you can probably just roleplay your favorite team. But, there’s more than enough available to let you build your own team from scratch. Renegade’s Essence20 System powers this game (as it does their GI Joe, My Little Pony, and Transformers RPGs), so folks making a leap from Dungeons & Dragons will be in fairly familiar waters here. 9. Teens with Attitude (David Brunell-Brutman) To say that Teens with Attitude is a “Power Rangers” game is, admittedly, a little misleading. No, this game takes its inspiration widely. Teens with Attitude seeks to give you all the tools you’ll need to emulate the heroes of 90s children’s television, especially Power Rangers , Animorphs , and Captain Planet . The game utilizes the Powered by the Apocalypse system to bring out the tropes and archetypes of that era of television, meaning all you’ll need is two six-sided dice, a love for campy action, and the image in your mind of your ideal 90s children’s protagonist. Lumen Ryder Core skews purposefully more towards Kamen Rider and Super Sentai , in terms of what it is trying to bring to life. Still, at its center, the game wants you to loudly declare your transformations, battle monsters and their mooks, and save the world. This game makes use of the Illuminated by Lumen system, so it lives on fast-paced action, quick throws of the dice, and managing resources for even bigger abilities. All wrapped in the unique skin of a bunch of heroes trying to solve mysteries and understand themselves. The real joy is digging your claws into the many abilities, boons, and drawbacks that make up your different forms and inventing the most chaotic synergies you can muster. You can even have your own mooks to fight monster mooks! Sometimes what you need to build your perfect Power Ranger story is some episode structure. Rover Royale builds itself around simplicity with mechanics (you’re mostly just rolling 1d6 + your stat) and the episodic structure you’ve come to expect from Power Rangers and shows like it. Rover Royale asks you to look at your team’s story beyond just the single battles against one evil monster, out to the bigger season arc. Relying on the tried-and-true framework that every episode of these shows works under, you’re gonna be building the full story of a season of your team’s efforts to curb evil. Originally published in Japan and eventually translated, Convictor Drive: Armored by Grief presents a relatively more grounded take on the genre, inspired primarily by Kamen Rider . You play as wielders of Convictors, special devices that transform you into an armored hero. As the tragic guardians of a prototype utopia city, you’ll serve as investigators of strange occurrences and defenders against those who would misuse experimental technology for their own purposes. Convictor Drive: Armored by Grief leans very deep into the individual parts and gadgets that make up your special exo-suit. This means you’ll be able to mod out every limb for battle, all while dealing with the emotional scars your characters need to even use them. Savage Tokusatsu is built out of the hefty, yet flexible, bones of Savage World . The game promises, and delivers, the simple premise that it is about fighting monsters and then getting in your mech and fighting an even bigger monster. Savage Tokusatsu is robust with options and advantages for creating your perfect tokusatsu hero and team. True to the name, it doesn’t just just lean in towards any one tokusatsu property. The ruleset is flexible enough that you can emulate just about any series you want to. If this were an Ultraman list, this game would make the crossover. Based on the manga of the same name, Queerz! brings to life sentai hero action with an LGBTQ flair. The game is built entirely out of a notably different game in City of Mist , but to extremely wondrous effect. Using the same move and tag system, Queerz! creates an incredibly expressive and evocative sense of design. It is hard, at times, to believe that it and City of Mist are the same bones, but it is very effective in its aesthetic. It is also very queer, and very proudly so, thank heavens. The game offers you many abilities, but above all the promise that you can fight, not just monsters, but ignorance, with your own empathy and joy. There is a simplicity that I feel you really cannot beat with something like Super Sentinels Neo . The game itself has a minimalist presentation, and its mechanics are exceedingly simple. It’s the perfect kind of game to teach a group of seasoned roleplayers in a few minutes so you can play something else that evening. You can also feel the love of the genre dripping in every minimal element, whether its the special abilities each color gets or the special hazards for the unique fighting locations. But you should consider this game because it is an open book about asking its players to create new things. Make new items and abilities for your Sentinels! Invent new strange beasts with your own table’s rules for the battles! When your Sentinels finally face down Emperor Z, make it unique for your group. Powered by Cereal gives me such a strange feeling, and I can’t explain why. It’s like being eight years old again and seeing Power Rangers Dino Thunder for the first time, with my math homework due the following Monday. The game absolutely drips with this Saturday Morning Cartoon, kid-juiced-up-on sugar energy. Even its system is simple, but incredibly unique, asking you to roll a bunch of d6s and count how many different numbers you roll, as opposed to highest or lowest. There’s an understanding when playing Powered by Cereal that part of the Power Rangers fantasy is everything around the team, the setting, the home town you’re defending, your series, what makes your team or show different from the rest in your franchise. It’s a great game to build the world around your Power Ranger fantasy, then play in the new sandbox you’ve built. If we’re talking about RPGs that let you live out the ultimate Power Rangers dream, it feels only right to talk about Henshin! and its hack Rider Konchu . Henshin! builds itself out of the Belonging Outside Belonging system, meaning that the primary method of resolution is earning and spending tokens. However, beyond that, it’s purely roleplaying. In the simplest degree, the game is about you and your friends describing in detail the incredible stunts, wild action, deep melodrama, major downfalls, and ultimate victories of your own Ranger team. Henshin! has received a handful of expansions over the years, adding on new options for players to build characters with. From rebel Green Rangers to Doggie Kruger, genius Blue Rangers to Alpha-5, Evil-Rangers-turned-good and Evil-Monsters-turned-good, even unlikely Orange Rangers to a rogue Megazord itself, Henshin! has provided every possible combination of team members to bring the dream to life. For those experimenting with other toku shows, Rider Konchu hacks Henshin! into a Kamen Rider game straight out of the modern era. But don’t worry about them being mutually exclusive, because you can even play a guest starring Rider using one of Henshin! ‘s playbooks. Your Saturday morning action show dreams are alive and well. They’re just waiting for you to morph up.Jayden Daniels and the offense stalling have the Commanders on a three-game losing streak

Noodles and wine are the secret ingredients for a strange new twist in China's doping saga Blame it on the noodles. That's what one Chinese official suggested when anti-doping leaders were looking for answers for the doping scandal that cast a shadow over this year's Olympic swim meet. Earlier this year, reports that 23 Chinese swimmers had tested positive for a banned heart medication emerged. None were sanctioned because Chinese authorities determined the swimmers were contaminated by traces of the drug spread about a hotel kitchen. In a strange twist, the leader of China's anti-doping agency suggested this case could have been similar to one in which criminals were responsible for tainting noodles that were later eaten by another Chinese athlete who also tested positive for the drug. Athletes see climate change as threatening their sports and their health. Some are speaking up BAKU, Azerbaijan (AP) — Pragnya Mohan has been a professional triathlete for nearly a decade, but summers in her native India are now so hot that she can’t train there anymore. They described how extreme weather is making training and competing difficult or impossible. With billions of fans worldwide, some athletes and leagues are trying to get more people to care, and act, on climate change.
